I’m extremely particular about any corporate connections I make – and I make very few – and I insist on only doing so with a very small number of companies who excel at what they do. I truly believe Mitsubishi make outstanding vehicles. I would not be able to do what I do, living in my semi-rural location, without my Outlander. A good car is a really integral part of my job. Many people do not realise just how much travel I undertake to attend events, book signings, demonstrations, filming, photo shoots, supper clubs, cooking for private clients, and the endless shuttling to and fro from the shops acquiring the supplies required to test for cookery books. It is never ending.
And so, to the book! FERMENTED is my most recent book. I have been increasingly interested in fermentation over the last three years, and I wrote this book to provide a solid introduction to a wide range of ferments, how to start them, and most crucially, what to do with your ferments and how to enjoy them every day. It was a great privilege that FERMENTED was shortlisted for the highly prestigious André Simon Award in January.
